Long poem of a doomed love affair by Aeronwy Dafies. "Workman's hammer blow falls / Brickwork falls away / Something flutters down / A dead rose". It consists of a prologue in the present in which the titular rose is uncovered, four sections describing the doomed love of the protaginists and an epilogue that described the aftermath of the lovers discovery by the girl's father. Published in The Bards 33.
